100 Word Challenge: Week Five

The prompt this week is the picture below. You must write 100 words (or less) about this picture. Your post can be written from your own perspective or even the perspective of the bear or it's owner!

Some questions to consider to inspire your post:
- Where is this bear?
- Who did it belong to?
- Why has it been dropped?
- How does the owner of the bear feel?

100 Word Challenge: Week Four

As part of our weekly reading rotation, students will write a 100 Word Challenge blog post. Each week I will post the prompt (it may be words, an image or a sentence starter) and students will respond to it on their personal blogs.

This week, the prompt is five words. You must use each of the five words in your 100 word or less blog post, and the post must make sense. The words are:  

                      FRINGE     EGGS     BLACK     WASHED     FLICKERING

Marshmallow Challenge Fun

To wrap up week two Room 6 attempted the marshmallow challenge! Teams had 18 minutes to build a free-standing structure which could suspend a marshmallow in mid air using only eighteen uncooked spaghetti strands, one metre of cellotape, one metre of string and one marshmallow. It was great to see lots of encouragement and teamwork as students collaborated to build under pressure.

A big congratulations to Elliot, Ethan and Samuel whose structure measured a whopping 58cm!

A to Z of Me: Blogging Task

Now that everyone in Room 6 has started up their own blogs, it's only right that each and every one of you introduce yourself on your blog!

Your task on Friday is to write an "A to Z of Me" List. This is an alphabetical list from A-Z made up of adjectives that describe yourself. For example, I could start mine like this:

                                                             Adventurous
                                                             Brave
                                                             Courageous
                                                             Dog lover
                                                             Energetic
                                                             Funny

Post your "A to Z of Me" on your blog once you have found words for all 26 letters of the alphabet that describe you!
